Alpharetta, Georgia – September 8, 2017 – allnex announced today that due to the increased freight rates and material acquisition costs as a result of Hurricane Harvey, allnex will implement a surcharge of up to $0.07/lb. for the Liquid Resins and Additives (LRA) portfolio sold in North America.
The primary driver forcing this announcement is the significant increases in feedstocks due to the disrupted raw material supply chain. The price of products in the portfolio, including but not limited to the following product groups- solventborne acrylics, solventborne alkyds, additives, waterborne acrylics and waterborne alkyds. The surcharge will be effective for all shipments shipped after September 22, 2017.
