allnex provides an industry leading portfolio of water and solvent-based PHENODUR® phenolic crosslinkers used in high performance general metal and packaging applications. This portfolio offers a range of  compositions, binder compatabilities and cure characteristics and can be used to enable improved coating properties such as flexibility, heat resistance and chemical resistance.

Ultra-low free formaldehyde crosslinker for low temperature cure

CYMEL© XW 3106 crosslinking resin is an ultra-low free formaldehyde melamine resin formulated specifically for 2k solvent-borne ambient cure or low bake systems in which low temperature cure (<100C) characteristics are desired. It is an alternative to isocyanate-based systems and is ideal for temperature sensitive substrates such as plastics, consumer electronics and low bake industrial metals.

Highly durable topcoat resins for quick return to service

With longer maintenance intervals and quicker return to service airline operators try to maximize profit generated by their fleet. Coatings on aircrafts need to keep performing under harsh conditions. To be specific, this includes resistant impact, temperature swings, exposure to UV-light and chemicals like skydrol and de-icing agents. Our resins for 2K PU applications are able to withstand these conditions and can be formulated to fast-curing low VOC paints.

Enhancing structural integrity with resilient topcoats

Topcoats for interior structures face long service lives as these are not subject to changes in exterior design of the aircraft. These coatings need to protect the primers from chemicals and other influences. Our resins can provide excellent resistance to endured exposure at sometimes elevated temperatures to skydrol, glycols, acids and humidity. In addition, they form an excellent physical barrier by providing good scratch and abrasion resistance.
